These 13 tiny collages were recently snail-mailed in a packet to Dale Copeland in New Zealand as part of the 8th International Collage Exchange and Exhibition (2006). Each is only 7x5 inches, mounted on 10x8 inch museum board.
They are all titled
Block Party (#1-#13). The name came from the concept of “blocks” and how blocks are assembled and stacked as each little collage was being made. I enjoyed working on this paper on paper project – a nice, if brief, diversion from oil on canvas – and the little works fuel ideas for other things. Everything is connected.
