FALL 2017 classes at the Pelham Art Center
Create, explore and play with collage media in a small, congenial setting with a supportive group at the Pelham Art Center. Work with a different technique and a new project designed for you, inspired by famous modern and contemporary artists. In the process you’ll learn – and understand – what makes the work important. You’ll learn to see and it will boost your skills and success. We’ll do collage projects with portrait and figures, landscape, and abstraction with everyday materials: fine papers, magazine papers, drawings and painting. One or two projects will include 3D and mixed media, with photographs, fabric, & found objects. We’ll discuss what glues and adhesives work. Classes include demonstration, discussion and individual attention.
