This installation view shows 8 collage paintings in the Curvy Geometric series. Most works are 12×12 inches square. One is 10×10 inches. One is 12×9 inches. The installation shows how small works fill a large space on the wall. Collage media includes Washi Japanese rice papers, art magazine papers, painted canvas, wood, wire and acrylic painted papers. Most backgrounds are painted with black or white acrylic. Cut and glued collage papers are painted black and white, ecru, red and tan. Layers are important. Thin papers are glued over magazine and/or painted papers and show transparency. Background substrates include heavy weight hand made paper, Bristol paper, canvas and/or wood panel.
