The first work in the METRO series was METRO Green. I wanted to learn to love the color green. Here’s advice I followed: If you avoid a color and want to learn to love it – immerse yourself in the color and solve the problem. I reworked an existing oil painting, added thin glazes of green in a geometric pattern to every square. Now I add other colors so the work isn’t only green. See Color Memory and Metro.
