Contemporary Collage Art

The word Strata implies geology, layering and levels – or divisions in an organized system.

FEBRUARY is one of 16 contemporary collages in the Strata Series. The theme is stripes and horizontal lines. The collage includes hand-drawn loopy, edgy and squiggly black lines in pen and ink with cut and pasted colored, patterned papers.

Colors: red orange, pink, black and white on mustard color paper background. Shapes: triangles, loops, circles, spirals, red letter forms on white, red block letters on black, and the stamped number 2.  Each collage drawing is 8×8 inches on hand-made artist quality papers and can be installed beautifully as a grid in home or office.
